Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Beaver Dam, WI | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekend rotation required | Every other holiday | Extended assignments up to 26 weeks may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced ED environment
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Participate in weekend rotation and every-other-holiday scheduling
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient and family-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; up to three attempts permitted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Familiarity with both adult and pediatric emergency care protocols
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department setting
