Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Days | 4×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV starts, and central line care and management
• Administer blood products, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Manage ventilated patients and provide CPAP/BiPAP support, including interpretation of ABGs
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Work weekends (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; no open background check cases permitted
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver’s license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
• Comfort with high-acuity patients including ventilator management and vasopressor administration
