Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Weekend availability required (at least 8 weekends per contract); holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and blood product administration
- Manage central lines and administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
- Support ventilated patients and apply/monitor CPAP/BiPAP; interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
- Pass a compliance EKG exam prior to assignment (2 attempts allowed)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- No open background check cases permitted
- Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
- Current driver’s license required to verify address
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation in an emergency care environment
- Comfort with ventilated patients and respiratory monitoring including CPAP/BiPAP and ABG interpretation
