MRI Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and procedures as requested by medical staff, operating magnetic resonance scanners to obtain diagnostic images
• Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
• Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance image quality using knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
• Complete documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
• Retrieve prior images, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on scanner equipment and archive imaging data

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
• Certified MRI Technologist certification required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Previous MRI experience required
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficiency with computer applications including EMR systems and MS Office
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
