Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Floating to Antepartum may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall nursing care of Labor and Delivery patients from admission to discharge, applying the principles of the nursing process within established policies and procedures
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures
• Serve as the patient’s primary nurse, maintaining accountability for competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care
• Respond to medical and environmental emergencies in a timely and effective manner
• Float to Antepartum as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN License (must be uploaded to Nursys within the last 2 weeks)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification required
• BLS Certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• ACLS Certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• NRP Certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring – AWHONN Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to Antepartum settings
• Familiarity with high-volume or academic medical center environments
• Strong emergency response skills in Labor and Delivery or related perinatal settings
