Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Utica, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Manage high-acuity cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE patients, in accordance with facility expectations
• Float to other units as required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (verified and in good standing)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Locals are welcome to apply (candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a local rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
• Experience caring for SANE patients
• Familiarity with high-acuity specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
