Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department treating 75+ patients per day, maintaining a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and monitor common presentations including abdominal pain, chest pain, dyspnea, headache, fever, and traumatic injuries
• Administer and monitor common drips including cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia agents
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices
• Perform triage and provide care within a Fast Track area, dedicated triage zone, holding area, and separate psychiatric/seclusion rooms as assigned
• Participate in self-scheduling and block scheduling, including weekend and holiday shift requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver’s license must be submitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level III Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and experience reading telemetry strips independently
• Experience working in a high-volume ED with diverse patient acuity levels
