Job Title

Registered Nurse – Orthopedic / Telemetry

Location

San Antonio, TX | Acute Care – Orthopedic Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit, including pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing total knee and hip replacements
• Perform and assist with procedures including incision and drainage (I&D) and wound care management
• Monitor and assess telemetry patients, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health records system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Adhere to rotating weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including coverage for two major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Basic wound care experience
• Willingness to float to other units per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
