Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Florence, SC | Free-Standing Emergency & Urgent Care Facility

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Sunday–Saturday depending on facility needs | Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room and urgent care environment
• Transition from an initial acute care hospital setting to a free-standing emergency and urgent care facility after an onboarding period of approximately two weeks
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency patients across a range of acuity levels
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, particularly during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license preferred and prioritized; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI and/or TNCC certification
• First-time travelers are welcome, provided emergency room experience requirements are met
• Ability to accommodate a block schedule (requests may be submitted for consideration prior to assignment start)
