Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients during a designated shift, applying the nursing process to deliver safe, effective care.
• Completes initial patient assessments upon admission and develops, implements, and continuously modifies individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided to support integration of information across the healthcare team.
• Monitors EMU patients around the clock for seizure activity.
• Collaborates with critical care teams and hospitalists in the care of Advanced Care patients.
• Promotes patient and family communication through meaningful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboard use; upholds patient and employee safety by reporting and addressing hazards and incidents.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience working in an advanced or critical care setting.
