Shreveport, LA | Inpatient Rehab / Acute Care / Outpatient / Skilled Nursing

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (hours may vary by location); occasional weekend rotation (approximately once per month for Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care); no on-call requirements; no holiday coverage expected

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a full patient caseload across assigned care settings by end of the first week of orientation
• Provide physical therapy services to patients with diagnoses including spinal cord injuries, TBI, strokes, amputations, multiple trauma, hip fractures, bilateral knee replacements, post-cardiac surgery, post-COVID, and medically complex conditions
• Deliver outpatient PT services including general orthopedics (surgical and non-surgical), sports medicine, pediatric developmental cases, neurological diagnoses, and spinal conditions
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, an assistant director, and peer therapists
• Document patient care accurately using facility EMR systems (Meditech Expanse for Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care; Wellsky for Outpatient; AOD/Meditech Expanse for Skilled Nursing)

Required Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in physical therapy specialty
• Demonstrated ability to manage an independent caseload
• Experience working with the patient populations and diagnoses listed above
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to EPIC and facility-specific EMR platforms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel therapy experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered based on experience and skillset
• Experience across multiple care settings including inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse, Wellsky, or AOD charting systems
