Social Worker (LMSW) – Hospital (Afternoons)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Mid Shift (Afternoons) | Expected 32 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in a hospital setting
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Support patients and families through crisis intervention, discharge planning, and community resource coordination
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability on a small, high-dependency unit where coverage is critical to patient care
• Participate in required holiday coverage blocks as scheduled, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods

Required Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work (MSW) required
• Active Massachusetts LMSW license — must be uploaded with profile
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric experience required
• Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations required
• Must have own reliable vehicle for this assignment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Emergency Department (ED) experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated history of reliability and consistent attendance in fast-paced clinical environments
