Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Topeka, KS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | 2 weekend shifts per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic (experience required)
• Float to like units within scope of practice as needed based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided
• Complete onsite orientation modules as required prior to beginning assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
• RTO (requested time off) must be listed at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a travel nurse is a plus, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and float to like units as needed
