Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines, including Exercise Stress, Dobutamine Stress, standard Echoes, Pediatric Echoes, and Transesophageal Echoes
• Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment
• Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness; document studies and charges accurately in Epic and complete preliminary information in the Xcelera system for physician reading
• Administer contrast agents when needed and not contraindicated
• Participate in an on-call rotation throughout the week and on weekends
• Cross-train to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services and actively seek to advance knowledge in all aspects of Echo

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Sonography
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
