Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving patients of all ages
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EHR system
• Participate in weekend rotations and on-call duties as needed
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Adhere to facility dress code and maintain a professional standard of conduct at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• HWC certification required prior to start (available on-site)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR platform
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting
