Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift) | 13-Week Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 13 Weeks | Projected Start: September 23, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage and ESI-level assessment for emergency department patients in a fast-paced, 9-bed unit
• Administer medications and manage IV insertion, EKG interpretation, and cardiac monitoring
• Provide emergency stabilization and trauma response, including moderate sedation procedures
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, prioritizing care effectively across varying acuity levels
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a team of nurses across rotating weekend shifts; no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Proficiency in triage and ESI, emergency assessment, medication administration, and management of critical patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma and stroke care
• Experience performing or assisting with moderate sedation
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and calm demeanor under pressure in a high-acuity environment
