Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures, including panning heart catheters and assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Operate and run X-ray equipment associated with all procedures in both the Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures lab
• Evaluate images to ensure appropriate density, contrast, detail, and structures to support physician diagnosis
• Position and prep patients and set up equipment for all procedures; report any unusual reactions or conditions to the nurse
• Maintain procedural areas in a neat, orderly, and procedure-ready state throughout the shift, including cleaning equipment, readying tables for the next patient, and restocking materials
• Demonstrate willingness to rotate among various shifts or departments to meet patient care needs

Required Qualifications

• Current NH ARRT license required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Completion of a certificate or degree program in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Must be able to take call

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Competency with Balloon Pump and Impella devices
• Experience with both diagnostic and interventional cardiac and special procedures
