Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 6-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 106-bed adult behavioral health unit, including Level 1, Voluntary, Detox, and general Behavioral Health populations
• Utilize facility equipment including Code Cart, Pyxis, EKG, Vitals Machine, and Glucometer, and document care using the Wellsky EHR system
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:14, delivering safe and effective psychiatric nursing care in a fast-paced environment
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills to manage behavioral health situations; CPI/Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
• Float as needed between the patient floor and the admissions department
• Participate in weekly Monday orientation as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (ADN or higher)
• BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI / Handle With Care (HWC) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health nursing setting
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with adult psychiatric populations including Detox, Voluntary, and Level 1 designations
• Familiarity with Wellsky or similar behavioral health EHR platforms
• Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills in a high-acuity environment
• Flexible team player comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral health setting
