Job Title

RN Postpartum – 3×12 Rotator

Boston, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Rotating Days/Nights, 3×12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby unit
• Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal status, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or a compact state license accepted in MA
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Mother Baby, Postpartum, or a related maternal-newborn nursing specialty
• Ability to work a rotating day/night schedule including every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume acute care postpartum setting
• Familiarity with couplet care (mother-baby nursing)
• Strong patient education and communication skills
