Lawrence, KS | Outpatient Oncology / Infusion

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (12 Weeks) | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM | On-Site | No Weekend, Holiday, Float, or On-Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within an oncology treatment area setting
• Administer and monitor IV medications and infusion therapies
• Access implanted ports and establish peripheral IV access as needed
• Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to oncology treatments
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient safety and quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of one year of experience in oncology or infusion nursing
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Must meet facility health screening requirements: 2-step TB test or blood draw within the past 12 months; immunization records or titers for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR completed within the past 12 months; and current TDAP

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience accessing implanted ports and initiating peripheral IVs
• Familiarity with hanging and managing IV medications in a treatment or infusion setting
• Prior experience in an outpatient oncology or ambulatory infusion environment
