Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and to decrease aspiration risk
• Provide speech language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech-language pathology services to residents within a long term care setting
• Implement communication treatment strategies that help residents both express themselves more clearly and better understand others

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience (Required)
• Active Texas state license or compact license (Required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a long term care or skilled nursing facility environment
• Familiarity with short-term rehabilitation programming and resident-centered care models
