Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery cases including CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Maintain a 1:2 staffing ratio throughout assigned cardiac OR cases
• Complete orientation during the first week on day shifts (Monday–Friday, 5×8-hour shifts); additional orientation, if required, will transition to 12-hour shifts
• Float to other OR services (General, Urology, ENT, etc.) as needed when cardiac volume is low, averaging approximately once per week
• Fulfill on-call requirements of 4 call shifts per 13-week contract; days and hours vary
• Document accurately using the Epic charting system

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience required
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Experience with CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• PA Fingerprints (Childline) required — must be completed within 1 week of contract signing; results may take 2–4 weeks to process
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with vascular/thoracic surgery, including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers with appropriate experience are accepted)
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
