Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | 2 Weekends Per Month Required | On-Call: 1 Shift Per Month | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Administer and monitor intravenous drips and medications within scope of practice
• Participate in weekend coverage, with an expected 2 weekends per month
• Fulfill on-call obligations, expected at approximately 1 shift per month
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Participate in holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical experience in a hospital setting
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates are welcome; local hires may be expected to convert to a permanent position following the initial contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing IV drips including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Familiarity with acute care protocols and high-acuity Med/Surg patient populations
