Contract | Night Shift | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend rotation included
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members in a safe, healing, and caring environment
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients and families
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of assigned nursing staff while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or related nursing setting
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — preferred for initial contract; required if contract is extended
