Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Orthopedics / Medical Surgical Pediatric

Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Pediatric Orthopedic unit, with the ability to support pediatric surgery as needed
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Participate in weekend rotation as required
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to facility compliance standards, unit protocols, and scope of practice at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license or a compact license with Missouri privileges — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• PALS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum of one year of RN experience; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must be available for weekend shifts as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in pediatrics and/or orthopedics strongly preferred
• Experience with pediatric surgical patients
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
