Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed mixed ICU with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3, including holding inpatient PCU and med-surg admissions
• Manage critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, balloon pumps, Impellas, Swan-Ganz catheters, and post-op Day 0 CABG care
• Perform and support neuro procedures including care for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun induced hypothermia
• Conduct bedside shift report for every patient at each transfer of care
• Float to the Emergency Department or PCU as needed to cover PCU or ICU holds, per facility floating policy
• Administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) outside of the ICU as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ability to manage up to 1–3 ICU patients, including those on mechanical ventilation
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Previous travel nursing assignment, ideally at a facility utilizing Meditech documentation system
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CCRN) and TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, phlebotomy, and neuro/cardiovascular ICU procedures
