Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other physical therapy interventions as directed
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in condition to the supervising PT
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe functional activities
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Maine or eligibility to obtain
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
