Labor and Delivery RN – Traveler

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice for Labor and Delivery
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors, utilizing the chain of command when necessary to support patient well-being
• Provide appropriate care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of California
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within scope of practice
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience caring for patients during antepartum and postpartum periods
• Familiarity with newborn care protocols and mother-baby standards
