Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Rapidly and accurately assess incoming patients, prioritizing injuries and medical needs in a fast-paced ED environment
• Respond to a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive clinical action
• Formulate and implement effective nursing care plans using clinical knowledge and analytical abilities
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary hospital personnel

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
• ED experience within the past six months required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Telemetry
• CEU requirement: Stroke Contact Hours (4 Hours)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• More than 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• BSN degree
• Familiarity with 8-stroke CEU requirements and trauma CEU completion (4 CEUs)
