Job Title

Registered Nurse – Postpartum (Mother Baby)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct postpartum nursing care within an 8-bed Mother Baby unit supporting approximately 1,350 deliveries annually
• Deliver patient care in a combined L&D and postpartum environment with an average monthly delivery rate of approximately 112 deliveries
• Maintain Labor and Delivery competency as required by the unit
• Participate in mandatory on-call rotation of up to 20 hours within each 6-week block; call-back minimum is 2 hours
• Document patient care accurately using the facility’s primary EMR system (EPIC)
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including applicable masking requirements during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required – must be AHA or ARC issued
• Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required – must be AHA or ARC issued
• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
• Labor and Delivery competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
• Familiarity with high-volume delivery units and variable census environments
