Job Title

Registered Nurse – Internal Float Pool (Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | Some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of a Telemetry Float Pool, floating to units based on skills and staffing needs
• Administer and monitor telemetry-level drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• Adapt to varying unit environments and patient populations as determined by float assignments
• Complete orientation across multiple days including hospital-wide and clinical orientation prior to independent unit assignment
• Document patient care accurately using the Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts) EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of telemetry nursing experience, including familiarity with Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care or Step-Down experience with drips such as Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, and Dobutamine
• ICU nursing experience (candidates with ICU background must also hold TNCC certification)
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR (Altera Sunrise is noted to be very similar)
