Job Title

Intensive Care Registered Nurse (ICU RN)

Location

Simi Valley, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in the ICU according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and measurable outcomes
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery across disciplines to promote health and a safe environment
• Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, delegating duties appropriately and utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to provide care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
• Participate in discharge planning and provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members to ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• Minimum of two years of recent ICU or acute care experience
• EPIC electronic health records experience — required
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements as a condition of employment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong critical thinking and supervisory skills in a high-acuity environment
