Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Intermediate Care

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite | Weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Intermediate Care / Telemetry unit with 12-hour night shifts
• Float as needed to assigned units including Intermediate Care, Medical, Post-Surgical, and Overflow Med-Surg / Negative Airflow units
• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry, ventilator support, and titration of drips
• Participate in orientation every Monday, beginning in HR and transitioning to the floor (12-hour orientation shifts)
• Assist with holiday coverage as expected by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience in a large facility or critical care setting
• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — must be in hand
• 2-Step TB test or blood draw within the past 12 months required
• Immunization records or titers for Hep B, Varicella, and MMR completed within the past 12 months required
• TDAP vaccination required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU or Med/Surg nursing background
• Experience with ventilator management
• Experience with titration of drips in a critical care environment
