Travel Paramedic (LPNT Acute) – Days

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the patient-attending paramedic on 100% of calls (no driving required)
• Provide prehospital emergency medical care to patients of all ages across a 4-ambulance unit
• Assist in the Emergency Department as requested
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation using the facility’s EHR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa or National Paramedic Certification
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS
• Completion of an accredited paramedic program
• Minimum 2+ years of paramedic experience
• Must obtain Iowa SING Background Check clearance (criminal and child abuse portions required) prior to start — no exceptions; no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers within the last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prehospital emergency services experience strongly preferred
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on patient care
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
