Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery / LDR setting during 12-hour night shifts
• Perform fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to maternal and fetal status changes
• Care for pediatric patients as part of the role’s scope
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
• Participate in on-call rotation, with the expectation of approximately 2–3 on-call shifts per month
• Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free workplace requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required — candidates must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start if not already held
• Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (LDR) experience
• Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and care for pediatric patients
• New graduates not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of LDR experience, ideally in a rural hospital setting
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
