Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3×12 or 4×12 | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma and surgical patients within a 25-bed floor and 6-bed intermediate care stepdown unit using a multidisciplinary team approach
• Manage patients at established ratios: Floor RN 1:5 / Stepdown (SDU) 1:3
• Perform skills including IV starts, ventilator management, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Apply Level 1 Trauma experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; minimum 1 year of in-specialty experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Fit test required prior to start date (candidates may need to travel up to 100 miles to complete)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption documentation accepted
• Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in PCU, IMC, Trauma, or SDU settings strongly preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• First-time travelers with ICU or Trauma experience may be considered
• CPI certification preferred (coordination assistance available through approved vendor)
