Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical process from pre-op through procedure completion
- Ensure the operating room is properly prepared with necessary equipment and supplies prior to each case
- Verify patient identity and planned procedure in accordance with safety protocols
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment throughout all surgical procedures
- Monitor the patient during surgery and accurately document all care provided
- Serve as a key patient safety advocate and fulfill on-call obligations as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience as a circulator
- Demonstrated ability to maintain sterile technique and uphold surgical safety standards
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as part of the role
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across multiple surgical service lines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Familiarity with surgical documentation systems and electronic health records
