Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00–19:30 | Saturday/Sunday plus one rotating weekday | Call requirement expected: 40–60 hours per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment with an average census of 70–80 patients and 24 OR beds
• Circulate across a broad range of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver Resection
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology, including the DaVinci XI robotic system
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled within the 6-week block
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact license; must be in hand prior to start date (temporary license may be obtainable once permanent license application has been submitted, including fingerprint application package)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience, with all relevant skillset experience within the last 3 years
• Proficiency in circulating across multiple surgical specialties as listed above
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program at time of graduation
• No local candidates; Indiana residents are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in an OR setting
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures, particularly DaVinci XI
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
