Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatment services to patients in a post-acute care setting under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional independence
• Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Colorado
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current NBCOT certification (COTA) or eligibility
• Ability to work day shift in an onsite post-acute care environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a post-acute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
