Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every 3rd Weekend | Holidays as needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry inpatient setting, including specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Perform clinical skills including vital signs monitoring, dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure setup, phlebotomy, capillary blood draws, and specimen labeling and collection (throat, urine UA clean catch)
• Conduct medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and patient health questionnaire and allergy history documentation
• Handle telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:6, with rotating assignments on one unit where a nurse may carry 7 patients of equivalent acuity
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver’s license required to verify address
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Acute Care Rehabilitation settings
• Familiarity with post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience
