RN – Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry (3 South, Day Shift)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit for patients with significant cardiac disease histories or related conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with precepting and onboarding new hire RNs, including RN Residents, as the unit builds its core staff
- Demonstrate a high degree of engagement and willingness to support staff development and unit stabilization efforts
- Float primarily to acute care med/surg units as needed, typically operating under 5:1 staffing guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- Prior experience in cardiac telemetry or cardiovascular nursing
- Ability and willingness to precept and train new nursing staff
- Comfort floating to acute care med/surg units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a dedicated cardiovascular or cardiac telemetry unit setting
- Previous preceptor or charge nurse experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills suited to mentoring new graduates and RN Residents
