Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical floor serving a diverse patient population including surgical, trauma, gunshot wound, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering safe and effective care in collaboration with nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and a unit secretary during night shifts
• Participate in structured nurse handoff process with ED nurses and admitting unit staff at time of patient transfer
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Work assigned shifts as scheduled; no block scheduling is available

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC required
• Must be willing to work assigned shifts; no block scheduling or time-off requests (RTO) accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience with high-acuity surgical and trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with caring for spinal cord injury patients, including quadriplegic and paraplegic individuals
