Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Location

Danville, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving patients across all age groups
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech EHR system
• Participate in weekend coverage on an every-other/as-needed basis
• Fulfill call and float requirements as needed per unit demands
• Adhere to facility dress code and professional conduct standards at all times

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure to practice in the state of Virginia
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• HWC certification required prior to start (available on-site)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to start
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR platform
• Experience working in an academic community hospital setting
