Open Heart Surgical OR Registered Nurse – Traveler

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Five 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday | Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (may extend depending on case load) | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a busy open heart surgical operating room environment
• Manage and adapt to variable shift lengths based on surgical case load demands
• Fulfill on-call obligations, including one night every two weeks and one weekend every six weeks
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system throughout all aspects of patient care and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in a high-volume surgical setting
• Open heart surgical OR experience required
• EPIC proficiency required
• Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Strong adaptability to extended shift hours based on case demands
