Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Deliver and oversee the quality of nursing services provided by self or others under their direction
• Apply the framework for professional nursing practice and development in all aspects of patient care
• Provide high-volume Labor & Delivery care in a fast-paced acute care environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland (verification must be less than 30 days old)
• 2+ years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification — or willingness to obtain within 48 hours if offered
• Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification — or willingness to obtain within 48 hours if offered
• NRP certification required
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be a state record
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must be willing to work the facility’s schedule without scheduling restrictions
• Local candidates are welcome; no radius rule applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care setting
• Familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring practices and stroke scale assessments
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying schedules and facility needs in a travel capacity
