Key Responsibilities

• Function independently under general guidance, following unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies in an emergency room setting
• Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving skills to deliver quality patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and maintain emotional stability in high-acuity emergency situations
• Perform independent assessments and interventions appropriate to the Emergency Department scope of practice
• Adhere to holiday scheduling expectations — travelers may be expected to work during designated holiday blocks including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• Active Massachusetts RN License (must be provided at time of submission)
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Active American Heart Association ACLS
• Active American Heart Association PALS
• Must have personal reliable transportation
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ED Triage and/or Cardiac Room experience (candidates with this background will receive first consideration)
• IV Certification
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience
• ENPC and/or CEN certification
• BSN degree
