Job Title

Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location

Lakeview, OR | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Temp-to-Perm) | Days | 5x8s | Expected shift between 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, Monday–Friday; flexibility required between available shift windows | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform generalist laboratory bench work across multiple disciplines including chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, and microscopy
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including Vitros 5600, Sysmex, Stago Satellite, Vitek, and QuidelOrtho manual gel for blood bank
• Plate specimens and perform gram stains as part of microbiology workflow
• Conduct phlebotomy as required; current BLS certification required
• Document and manage patient data using Cerner (Oracle) EHR system
• Function independently as a bench-savvy technologist in a small rural health laboratory environment

Required Qualifications

• Active MT (MLS) or MLT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Recent phlebotomy experience required
• Well-rounded generalist background across chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, and microscopy
• Ability to work the full bench independently
• Candidates must be serious about transitioning to permanent employment following the 13-week contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner (Oracle) EHR system
• Prior experience in a small or rural health laboratory setting
• Familiarity with Vitek for microbiology workflows
• Experience with QuidelOrtho manual gel techniques for blood bank
