Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Great Bend, KS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend required | Holidays on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) setting during night shift hours
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
• Care for pediatric patients as required during float assignments
• Perform fetal monitoring using intermediate or advanced techniques in accordance with current training
• Participate in on-call rotation, remaining available if shifts are canceled due to low census and responding if called back during a regularly scheduled shift
• Must be fully committed to obtaining PALS certification prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (PALS must be obtained prior to start)
• Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (LDR) experience
• Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and provide care for pediatric patients
• This is a nicotine-free facility; candidates must comply with nicotine-free policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of LDR experience, preferably in a rural hospital setting
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
