RN – Behavioral Health

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a behavioral health setting during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for behavioral health patients
• Monitor patient behavior and mental status, documenting changes and communicating with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health conditions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Kansas or a compact state license
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shift hours

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric unit
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
