Travel Cath Lab Tech – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location
Sanford, FL | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Expected schedule of 4×10 or 5×8-hour shifts with late stays and on-call rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures including TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripherals, Impella, and balloon pump
- Provide EP circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring support — proficiency in at least two of these EP skills is required
- Operate and utilize unit equipment including GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, and Penumbra systems
- Document accurately using Mac Lab and Meditech documentation systems
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 within the Cath/EP Lab and holding area
- Float to holding area, EP Lab, or other areas within scope of practice as needed per unit floating policy
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- ARRT or RCIS certification required (RCIS must be obtained within 3 years of hire if candidate is not a Rad Technologist with ARRT)
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Must adhere to hospital scrub uniform and dress code policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with advanced Cath Lab procedures such as TAVR, Watchman, and Impella support
- Proficiency with GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Experience in both Cath Lab and EP Lab environments
